It's a robot making day!
It looks like Robo-t.com, home to loads of free paper robot models, is long gone now, but a lot of the site content is still up and running here, with preview pictures, printable paper models and full instructions of how to assemble your own personal robots.

Super Person of the week: Jason
With most of his work now translated and published on Fantagraphics, Jason has become one of the most popular European artists over the past years. Usually with no dialogues, anthropomorphic characters and using a very minimal drawing style, his novels definitly deserve all the attention they've been getting.
Some of my personal favourites are Sshhhh!, The Living and hte dead and Why are you doing this?
Check more of his work at www.fantagraphics.com.

Matthew The Horse
I came across Matthew The Horse through an album cover he recently designed for HPLL. The portfolio on his website goes from music and art posters to illustrations for newspapers and magazines, everything in a very weird and unique style.

Atom Eve's own book!!!!
Not only is Invincible one of my favourite super-hero comics, but if if I could pick a single character (from any given universe) to be for a day, I'd pick Atom Eve. And now I hear there will be a "Invicible presents Atom Eve Collected Edition" out in two days. Oh, excitment!!!
The book collects two single issues that came out a while ago, and even though it's not written by (Invincible creator) Robert Kirkman, and the art is not by Ryan Ottley, I still can't wait to get my hands on it.
The first five pages are available to preview now. Woot!

Paris Journal
Chicago based illustrator Lucy Knisley has just posted the last couple of pages of the diaries she kept while on holidays in Paris last week. I don't even like Paris, but this makes me want to go there too. So nice!

Bacardi commercials by PES
PESfilm seems to always get better and better, their Western spaghetti short is one of the best stop motion animations ever, and now they have a new series of commercials for bacardi up on youtube that are just as good. In the four mini-shorts available at the moment, the bacardi bottle comes as a rocket, a submarine, a train and a yacht. Sooo good!!

Ellerbisms
Over the past few months Ellerbisms (the comic diaries of Marc Ellerby) became one of my favourite webcomics - it's funny, clever, full of pop culture references and, as what you’d expect from a diary, it chronicles every day life situations. Just like real life, they’re sometimes fun and sweet, and sometimes a bit less so, but either way, they are always good to read. Incredibly personal, these strips slowly made me feel like these characters are old friends of mine - I want them to be ok and happy… and to keep being awesome!

Jack Dylan
Somehow I managed to only discover Jack Dylan a few days ago, and am still totally blown away by his work. Simple, geeky, superhero-loving awesomeness!
